Well, I hadn’t been to this neighbourhood before, but I made the trip just for this cafe, and I have to say it was totally worth it. I went on a Friday at around 1 PM, which is just an hour before the closing time, and I was the only customer in the entire cafe. The cafe is pretty large with a lot of seating and there are a couple of chairs outdoor as well If you want to grab a coffee outside. The decor is pretty standard and somewhat boring, and I guess this cafe is not something one would consider instagramable. However, I wasn’t really here for the aesthetics. What makes this cafe stand out for me is purely the hospitality. The lady who took my order was the sweetest lady ever and she was extremely nice and welcoming. I ordered a latte and an Italian Panini. The latte was pretty good, but again, nothing extraordinary. The sandwich, however, was stunning. The ratio of meat to bread to sauce was perfect, and this was one of the better Italian sandwiches. I have had in the city so far. There was also a gentleman in the cafe who I am presuming is the co-owner, and he was also extremely nice and asked for my feedback about the sandwich. In a time in age, when we are having less and less conversations with other humans and more conversations with our phones, I found it really special that they made the effort to have a conversation with me and make me feel comfortable and welcome. I’ll definitely be back again and try some other items from their Panini menu.
Very nice cafe in the West End! The coffee was great and all the baked goods looked delicious. Very nice seating area with lots of seating and the owner was very nice and welcoming and made it just an overall great experience. Definitely a place to check out in the area! I will definitely be back
Perfect stop for delicious coffee and breakfast. I had a ham & bacon croissant with a cold brew. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake was fantastic! Atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Way better than any franchise place.
Cafe 412 is a wonderful place to visit for breakfast. The owners are very nice, welcoming and the food is outstanding! I had the Breakfast Club. The sandwich tasted great! I highly recommend if you are in the Pittsburgh area to check out Cafe 412!
Great little cafe off the beaten path. Wife had an iced chai and I had a cappuccino. We also shared a Cuban and an Italian panini. Food is delicious and high quality. Proprietor is very friendly and space is well-lit and squeaky clean. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting next time I am in the neighborhood!
Great people & service here. Espresso is outstanding. Enjoyed one while standing at the counter (reminded me of my time in Italy). Cold brew and Avocado toast were fantastic!
On a scale of documentaries to romances, Cafe 412 is a cozy romance that offers big city deliciousness alongside the coziness of a small town. Cafe 412 offered me the perfect Wednesday morning pick-me-up. I had no idea it was so near my old apartment because I would have taken advantage of the coffee and space much more often. Love a cup of joe with a place to relax and work with a good menu of options, Cafe 412 is a great location!
I got the Italian breakfast panini (minus the bacon) and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The breakfast potatoes were delicious - do not skip. The coffee was great and the service was friendly. 5 stars, will definitely be back!
